We’re currently hiring two licensed career counselors in Chicago and are also seeking two additional counselors in NY State and Texas. Role Description : We are currently seeking licensed Career Counsellors or Industrial-Organizational Psychologists. You will also be considered if you are a Psychotherapist, Social Worker, or a Licensed Mental Health Professional with a strong background in career counseling. If you’re passionate about helping clients navigate career transitions, improve job satisfaction, and achieve long-term success, this role is for you. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, no sales responsibilities, and access to a steady flow of clients, allowing you to focus fully on guiding clients toward career fulfillment. Location: Remote (must be licensed to practice and provide insurance receipts in New York State) Hours: Flexible, must be able to take on a minimum of 10 hours per week, ideally 20 hours per week Compensation (USD): $90–$105/hour for our Ideal Career Guidance Program and $150/hour for our Leadership Development Program (negotiable based on experience). Client Base: Mindful Career provides steady client referrals, so you can focus on delivering impactful counseling without needing to find clients yourself. Responsibilities : Provide behavioral profiling and evidence-based career counseling to clients seeking career changes, advancement, or work-life balance. Integrate psychometric assessments (e.g., MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory, and Work Personality Index) to help clients identify their strengths and career preferences. Offer individualized strategies to support clients in setting goals, enhancing professional growth, and navigating job searches. Work with clients to improve workplace well-being and address issues like burnout, job dissatisfaction, or work-related stress. Provide receipts that are accepted by insurance providers, ensuring reimbursement for clients. Required Experience & Qualifications: Licensing (Required): Must be licensed to practice in New York State and able to provide insurance receipts for client reimbursement. Acceptable licenses include: Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Psychoanalyst Experience: 5+ years of experience in career counseling, psychotherapy, organizational psychology, or a related field. Experience supporting clients through career transitions, job dissatisfaction, stress management, and professional development. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with or certification in psychometric tools (e.g., MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory). Must have experience with at least MBTI or Strong. Experience working with career mapping, leadership development, or executive coaching. Training Requirement: Willingness to undergo training and earn the Ideal Career Guidance (ICG) Certification through Mindful Career. Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build trust and establish effective client relationships.
