Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer, PE
Location: Baltimore, MD (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)

Overview:
My client, a well-established and innovative engineering firm, is seeking a Licensed Mechanical Design Engineer (PE) to join their Baltimore-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact projects across healthcare, higher education, government, and commercial sectors, while contributing to sustainable and technically advanced building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Develop construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Perform energy modeling, load calculations, and system sizing.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff.
• Interface with clients to understand project goals and provide technical leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design for building systems.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software (e.g., Trane Trace, HAP).
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards, building codes, and energy efficiency practices.
• LEED project experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• U.S. work authorization required.
