Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Walbro – Cass City, Michigan (Onsite)

Reports to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Walbro is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design complex products, processes, and equipment, including specifications, assembly methods, and manufacturing sequences for both products and production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop original designs or adaptations of existing designs with general guidance.
• Utilize CAD systems extensively and perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) regularly.
• Lead engineering and manufacturing projects with expert application of technical knowledge.
• Prepare concept sketches and diagrams to validate ideas and technical approaches.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to align on objectives and timelines.
• Supervise technical staff and design drafters as needed.
• Contribute to cost estimates and suggest improvements to facilitate manufacturing.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOM), standards, and project schedules.
• Maintain quality standards and continuous professional development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Design.
• 3 years of progressive experience in a related engineering role.
• Strong communication and technical presentation skills.
• Proficiency in CAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
