Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer, Sustaining Engineering Department – Join a Leading HVAC Manufacturer Driving Innovation and Excellence!

Are you an experienced engineer passionate about optimizing and enhancing high-quality HVAC products? Ready to be part of a dynamic team where your ideas make a real impact—from supporting existing product lines to improving manufacturing processes and driving innovation? Our client, a top-tier HVAC manufacturing company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for their Sustaining Engineering Department —someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to ongoing product success and customer satisfaction.

Why This Role?

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between engineering design, production, sales, and support—ensuring HVAC products are not only designed well but manufactured efficiently and reliably. You’ll dive deep into real-world challenges, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and develop smart, scalable solutions that keep product lines running smoothly and ahead of the curve.

You’ll collaborate with a talented team of engineers, designers, technicians, and project managers who value your expertise and input. Whether you’re refining existing products, optimizing processes, or supporting testing and certification efforts, your work will directly enhance quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with sales, production, and warranty departments to provide technical support and drive cross-functional improvements
  • Enhance manufacturing processes: Identify and implement improvements to streamline production, reduce waste, and increase efficiency
  • Drive product enhancements: Support modifications and updates to existing HVAC product lines to meet evolving market and regulatory demands
  • Manage engineering data: Maintain bill of materials (BOMs), routings, and product configurations in ERP systems with a focus on accuracy and usability
  • Support CAD and prototyping: Assist with 3D modeling and detailed drawings (Inventor preferred) to support prototype and production changes
  • Lead root cause analysis: Troubleshoot issues from the field or shop floor, identify causes, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance
  • Assist with compliance & certification: Support testing and certification efforts to maintain industry standards and ensure regulatory compliance

Who You Are

  • Experienced: 3–5 years in manufacturing, HVAC, or related product/application engineering, ideally with project management or process improvement experience
  • Collaborative Communicator: Comfortable working across departments and levels, from production teams to senior leadership
  • Problem Solver: Hands-on, proactive, and customer-focused—you take initiative to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Technically Skilled: Proficient in Microsoft Office; experienced with CAD (Inventor preferred); knowledge of ERP systems is a plus
  • Educated: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Onsite-Ready: This role requires full-time presence at the manufacturing facility

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role, offering frequent interaction with engineering, production, and support departments. You’ll be active in both office and manufacturing environments, with occasional physical tasks on the shop floor.
