The Four Time ANCC Magnet designated UPMC St. Margaret is currently hiring a Full-time Professional Staff Nurse to support various Acute Care units as part of a special Rotational Program at our Aspinwall, PA location.

\nSelected participants will rotate through six various units (progressive care, rehab, ortho, neuro/oncology, renal/resp., and surgical floor ) for six months.
\n \n\n

Each new graduate will have an experienced registered nurse as a mentor and have preceptors for each “rotation”. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from many talented nurses and receive a broad education on all foundational nursing skills. At the end of the “rotations”, you will be matched through a mutual matching process with a participating unit, or you may remain in the resource pool.

What units are included in the Graduate Nurse Acute Track?
\n \n\n
At the completion of the program, you will be able to select the unit you wish to stay on, a dual role between two units, or enter the Resource Pool. Placement at the end of the program is dependent on department openings.

Our RNs work a rotating 12 hour schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.

The Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. A role that requires independent judgment, fluent communication, and candid partnership, the Staff Nurse establishes relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients, and patients’ families in order to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
