Job Summary: As a Mechanic at 27North Inc., you will be responsible for performing a range of mechanical services and repairs on expedition vehicles. From installing lift kits and roof racks, to cutting in windows and installing wheels and tires. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all vehicles are manufactured to the highest quality standards, and meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on expedition vehicles, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and develop effective repair plans.
• Repair or replace damaged or faulty parts and components, using a range of tools and equipment.
• Perform complex repairs and modifications to vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect and test vehicles to ensure that all repairs have been completed successfully, and that they meet or exceed relevant safety and performance standards.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance activities, including parts used and labor time.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or relevant experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic.
• Experience working with expedition vehicles or other off-road vehicles is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanics, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and other metalworking techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, and work in confined spaces for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to manipulate small parts and components.
• Must have good vision and color perception to differentiate between parts and identify potential hazards.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
