Role Overview
As an Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations while ensuring compliance with government contracting regulations. The candidate will provide key financial insights and reporting to drive business decisions and support company operations. This role requires a solid understanding of business operations and technical accounting background, ideally in manufacturing and/or government environments.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting & Financial Reporting:
● Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals. ● Perform general ledger account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data. ● Oversee and process AP, manage AR, and reconcile accounts.
Government Contract Accounting:
● Prepare invoices for various government contract types, including CP, FFP, and T&M contracts. ● Track contract funding, revenue recognition, project cost performance, and ensure billed costs comply with contract terms and government regulations.
● Contribute to the preparation of indirect cost rates and forward pricing models.
Compliance & Internal Controls
● Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, DCAA, and internal company policies. ● Support Audits (External Audit, Internal Audit, SOX, and Self Evaluation Testing) ● Support the ongoing development and maintenance of internal controls.
Basic Qualifications
● Level 2: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 3+ years of experience -OR- Graduate Degree with 1+ years of experience.
● Level 3: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5+ years of experience -OR- Graduate Degree with 3+ years of experience.
● Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP.
● Hands-on experience in AP, AR, and general accounting functions.
● Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
● Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and cross-functionally. ● Ability to obtain security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
● Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (or in progress).
● Proficiency with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar platforms.
